The objective of the project was to establish the system in the Ministry of Youth, Education and Sport (MoEYS), Cambodia, for the science and mathematics curriculum and textbook development at the upper secondary level. PADECO contributed significantly to achievement of this objective by (i) providing academic instructions to update and upgrade the upper secondary science and mathematics curriculum and textbooks, (ii) facilitating concerned departments and development partners in coordinating activities to establish the curriculum and textbook development process, and (iii) ensuring the quality of science and mathematics textbooks through close supervision of the entire process from the curriculum to the revised typescripts after trials in the schools.
