The proposed project is designed to ensure sustainability and development with a special focus on the creation of an open, unified, regional economic space, as a means of creating an enabling environment to foster competitive and efficient private sector development. The objective of the work was to assess the level of interest in, and the approach for the single window in the four ports (Abidjan, Lome, Cotonou, and Lagos) along the Corridor countries, and to produce a feasibility study which shall include: (i) a current situation (gap) analysis; (ii) a legal gap analysis and legal approximation plan for improvement and development of the single window concept; and (iii) an assessment of the financial needs and action plans for port single window improvement, leading to a “bankable” implementation package.
