The objective of the study is to assess potential of regional trade facilitation by infrastructure development under NRCP (Nacala Road Corridor Project) phase II planned in East Province State of Zambia. NRCP phase II is co-funded by European Union (EU), European Investment Bank (EIB) and African Development Bank (AfDB) targeting 360km of Nacala Corridor (Luangwa-Mwami) which is a main section of NRCP crossing Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique (1,033km in total). The Consultant quantitatively analyzed impacts of road infrastructure development such as growth of regional industry along Nacala Corridor, increase of regional trade and income increase of people along the Corridor. Although main part of F/S was conducted by Egis BECEOM, PADECO was appointed to this study because of experiences in Eastern and Southern Africa and speciality in Japanese development policy.
