This project is to address the various constraints on Zimbabwe’s trade competitiveness, including along the North-South Corridor, and the border crossings at Beitbridge (on the border with South Africa) and Chirundu (on the border with Zimbabwe). This was a follow-on survey to a JICA logistics survey between Durban and Harare (Jan-Mar 2016) which examined in more detail, factors affecting the logistical competitiveness of Zimbabwe, to inform discussions with South Africa regarding the establishment of a One-Stop Border Post at Beitbridge and possible Japanese support to the Government of Zimbabwe.
