About the job: Project Administration Officer
PADECO is a Tokyo-based international development consultancy which undertakes projects implemented and/or financed by various international financial institutions and bilateral development agencies such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the World Bank (WB), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and others.
The proposed position is under the Infrastructure Development Division of the company. The position is expected to actively support project administration and management throughout the entire lifecycle of the project.
Qualification for the ideal candidate include:
A bachelor’s degree or higher
5~10 years of professional experience (ideally with proven interest or experience in international development and/or infrastructure development).
Previous experience in project management (including budgeting and basic accounting knowledge).
Excellent communication skills (Advanced to native level English and Japanese skills preferred).
Strong project delivery and commercial orientation, with motivation and interest in contributing to project management.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
Ability to be proactive, flexible, and goal oriented.
Full proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office software required.
Brief job description:
Assistance to Internal Project Directors in managing projects, planning, coordinating teams of experts and their technical contributions, as well as logistics.
General project administration, budget management and financial reporting using the various company accounting systems, invoicing, processing payments, and drafting and managing contracts.
Communication with the Client on the administration of the project’s contract and with internal project members (Internal Project Directors and management, consultants, legal and financial, general administration, accounting, etc.)
Supporting technical work, including production and editing of deliverables, to maintain quality of deliverables and further develop his/her technical skills and other competences. Review of specific outputs produced by experts engaged in the projects.
