Project for Strengthening of Incentive Services and the Management Function of Jericho Agro-Industrial Park

The development of industrial parks is as an effective approach for enhancing the Palestinian economy and support economic independence. The Palestinian Authority (PA) and the Government of Japan agreed to cooperate on the development of the Jericho Agro-Industrial Park (JAIP) as a core project to realize the concept of the Corridor for Peace and Prosperity through discussions with Israel and Jordan. Based on the agreement and feasibility study for the JAIP, a technical assistance project was conducted for capacity development of Palestinian Industrial Estates and Free Zones Authority (PIEFZA) and various tasks required for realization of JAIP. The second phase project commenced in since 2014 and is strengthening the capacity of PIEFZA to provide various incentive services and to manage industrial parks developing four functions: (i) one stop service, (ii) business development services, (iii) financial service, and (iv) operation and management.
