Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council (ADTC) supports the employment of Emiratis in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through a focus on business start-up supports for females in Al Ain. ADTC requested a pilot project for developing Emirati female entrepreneurs funded by Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) in order to achieve a reduction of the female unemployment rate in Al Ain. This pilot project targeted female entrepreneurs who wished to start their own business. Workshops provided basic information for business start-ups and practical business management with the participants, and 15 participants successfully completed the workshops and were either ready to start their own business or already engaged in their own business. The project also prepared a completion report which included outputs and recommendations after the workshops.
