The government of Honduras requested for the Government of Japan to assist the technical cooperation project of La Union Biological Corridor Project for Sustainable Use and Conservation of Biodiversity, which aims to promote the corridor management and sustainable use of natural resources in La Union biological corridor, approved as a technical cooperation project by GOJ in April, 2014. PADECO was in charge of collection and analysis of information required for ex-ante evaluation (project appraisal) applying the five evaluation criteria (relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impacts and sustainability) of the above mentioned Project. 1. Preparation of draft Project Design Matrix (PDM), Plan of Operation (PO), summary of project appraisal (ex-ante evaluation) 2. Preparation of questionnaires and their distribution to the stakeholders in advance of the field survey in Honduras 3. Information collection and analysis on: 1. Current plans and strategies of SERNA (Secretaría de Energia Recursos Naturales y Ambiente) and other concerning agencies on biological corridors 2. Data concerning biological corridors 3. Distribution of ecosystems with conservation value 4. Projects assisted by other donors in nature conservation in Honduras 4 Collection of the questionnaires and their analysis, and additional interviews to the concerning agencies, organizations and communities 5. Finalization of the draft PDM and PO 6. Contribution to finalizing Record of Discussion and Minutes of Meeting 7. Reporting of the study result to JICA
