Detailed Design and Construction Supervision under Cross Border Road Network Improvement Project

A loan assistance from the Government of Japan to the Government of Bangladesh to construct sixteen (16) small-to-medium-sized bridges (seven (7) four-lane and nine (9) two-lane bridges with 35 to 310m in total length) and a Nielsen Lohse Steel Arch type four-lane bridge with 690m in total length, seven (7) two-lane box culverts and approach roads, road facilities such as axle load control facilities at each land port in Benapole and Ramgarh and toll collection facilities. 

The project involves the provision of services for detailed design, tender assistance, construction supervision, facilitation of implementation of Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Environmental Monitoring Plan (EMoP) and Abbreviated Resettlement Plan (ARP), technical transfer including overseas training, safety considerations and Dispute Board (DB) assistance. PADECO provided a pavement & material engineer, an environmental and resettlement specialist and a toll specialist.
