A Grant Project between JICA and Institute of Maritime and Port of Angola Ministry of Transport. The project was formulated to address the demand for increasing cargo volume at the port, initiate improvements of the port facilities which were urgently required and execute the emergency rehabilitation plan of the port along with the repair of a quay wall in Namibe Port, the oldest of the four major ports in the Republic of Angola. PADECO contributed the following activities: Port Facility Planning and Design and cost estimation; Tendering / Procurement Management; Survey Supervision, Construction Supervision and Quality Control.
